Hello! I’m Tayla, and this is Steph. We both work with The Wallich and were on the lookout for volunteering opportunities in Barry.
Thanks to Value in the Vale and Mack Events, we found the perfect fit, volunteering as litter pickers at this year’s GlastonBarry Tribute fest!
Steph is a local litter-picking champion, and since we’re both passionate about keeping our community clean and safe, it was the ideal role for us.
We had an amazing day! We got to enjoy the live music—our favourites were The Eminem Show, AC/DC and Fleetwood Shack—all while giving back.
We met so many friendly people who made us feel welcome, and we even found some interesting items along the way, including plastic keys, an old frank coin, and lots of loose gems.
