Benthyg Cymru is a Wales wide network of borrowing communities where people borrow things they need but don’t own, donate things they own but don’t need and share skills in their communities. Why buy when you can borrow?

Plus, you can save money and reduce your carbon footprint as well as reducing all that clutter in sheds and cupboards.

There are 2 Benthyg Libraries of Things in the Vale of Glamorgan, one in Barry and one in Penarth. We also have an electric van for deliveries, collections and pop ups, plus an electric cargo bike at each venue.

 

Both Benthygs give local residents the opportunity to borrow a range of household items such as DIY & Gardening Tools, Kitchenware & Children’s Items at low cost or through using Value in the Vale rewards.
